why did my hair turn grey from highlights?

I recently had dark blonde lowlights put into my natural medium blonde hair. My hair has turned to an ashy grey color. Do I need a toner to correct this problem? My hair dresser put a warm bolnde gloss into my hair and there was no change. Help, what should I do?

Sounds like your colorist used a haircolor with too much blue pigment. So is it just the darker pieces that have the grey tone, or were the pieces that were left your natural color also affected?
