Will I suit brunette?

I have naturally mousy brown hair-however I have been dying it blonde since the age of 11 (I am now 25) I have dark eyes and eyebrows-but am worried going brunette won't suit me (as i have been blonde for so long) I don't want to get to the washed out brown colour i see so many blonde-brunettes get.....

what is my best option-as my hair is in such bad condition being blonde is destroying any thickness I once had.

...with brunette hair, but YOU may not like it because you have gotten so used to your blonde. You will need to give it time. Not sure what you mean by washed out brown...go to a professional and tell her what you want and your concerns. Coloring your hair any color other than letting it go back to what mother-nature has given you, will keep your hair thinning problem. If you find you don't like all brown hair (after you give it some time)you can have it highlighted and hopefully it won't be so hard on your hair and you won't have to color it as frequently as you do now.

it has been my experience that blondes who want to go darker will not be satisfied until they do!! the color i prefer is when you go darker than your natural, almost black. it looks very striking and brings out your eyes. having said that, girls like you, that have been blonde for so long see themselves as blonde naturally in their own eyes. most that i have done have gotten bored after about a month and want their blonde hair back for several reasons. they say guys dont look at them as much as before, which works on there selfesteem, and they just see themselves as not themselves because they are in there eyes, blonde. they end up going back to blonde and damage their hair even more than it was when they bleach it back to blonde! im just saying!!!

Hi Kate

As this post was last year, I just wondered, did you end up going Brunette? If so, are you still brunette and do you like it. I am thinking of doing the same and have my appointment booked for next Friday. I know what you mean about the washed out brown look so I've decided I want to go a deep chestnut brown to avoid that.
