You have a beautiful base color. Highlights would be the way to go. Less upkeep and less damage. If hair is below a 6 level and you look like a 4 or 5, It takes bleach to blonde and then toned to keep brassiness out. Try 2 or 3 colors in foils first. Blondes, Golden blondes even a strawberry blonde would look good on you with your base color

Blonde is a bad move as your hair is a lovely dark colour, i would dye it a deep red tint or deep purpley colour obviously not a bright variety if i was you:) GOOD LUCK!

I like the color of your hair now. Maybe before you color your whole head, you should try a few streaks of a darker blonde. Possibly even a lighter brown.
