Would light ginger hair look good if I dyed it dark brown?

Ok,
So I want to dye my hair dark brown. My hair, to be honest is kind of light ginger or brown at the moment but I want to see what it would be like with a dark brown shade! If you would know or have tried this please let me know how it turned out!
