This product can work wonders for your hair. If in the past, you’ve always used those products that are geared towards African American hair because that’s all you’ve learned, you’ll be surprised you’re missing out.
There are some chemicals, such as relaxers, that are designed to suit the African American hair. This is why sticking to such chemicals brings the best results.
And sticking to a daily routine and maintenance is the best way you can get massive results.
Enters the Aveda Be Curly Product
With the Aveda “Be Curly” product, you can make yourself a curly afro. This isn’t just another curling product. It can help you get the curls, moisture, and softness you need. In fact, it can even reduce frizz even when used on thick hair.
It’s great for curly hairstyles. And that means it’s a suitable product for the African American women who want to keep their natural hair.
Ready to use it?
Start with the “Be Curly” shampoo and conditioner and blot wet your hair with a dry terry cloth towel.
Don’t shampoo more than twice a week, it’s not soo good for your hair. Especially if you sport coarse or naturally curly hair.
Use natural oils on your scalp too, they’re very beneficial.
Another nice thing you can do to keep your hair in good condition is to spritz (spraying with water in short, quick bursts) it with water in between washes and apply the “Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer”.
This product should be used on wet hair as it works better with that. After applying it, massage your scalp “lightly” with organic coconut oil.
When your hair is semi-dry, try keeping your curls moisturized, defined and frizz-free. But how do you do that? By using a diffuser (on low setting). This will help you maintain lift and volume.
What if you want extra height? You can use a metal hair pick on the roots but you have to be careful with that.
It has to be done delicately. You’ll get your result. Using it to pick your hair all the way out might cause you to lose the curls on the end.
And to keep your hair big and curly on humid days, you can use a little hairspray after styling your hair.
And before going to bed, wrap your hair in a silk scarf. What would this do to your hair? It’ll keep it from frizzing. And instead, healthy and full.
These are just some tips for now, with more coming later on. If you find benefit in them, then stick to it.
