Choosing Elemis or Clarins can be a tough choice, especially if you’re buying for the first time. Both are great at what they do. However, it all comes down to what you want and which brand can give you.
Remember, it can be quite a daunting task trying to find the right skincare product among many for your skin. It would, therefore, help to know a few things about a brand’s products that will guide you as you make your choice.
In this article, I’ll be reviewing some of the different products from both brands so you can easily decide which one is for you.

Let’s start by comparing both brands.
Elemis or Clarins: Comparisons
In terms of price, Clarins is a lot cheaper than Elemis. However, Elemis is a premium brand and comes with a luxury feel, compared to Clarins. As you can see, there is a trade-off here.
If you want a premium feel, you have to go with Elemis. Or Clarins, if you’re not too keen on quality. That doesn’t mean Clarins’ quality is bad or that it’s an average product. Just on another level, compared to Elemis.
Clarins is a French skincare company that started in 1954. Its products are based on their belief in the power of plants.
Clarins makes such products as moisturizers, cleansers, eye creams, face masks, serums, and makeup, all of which are largely based around botanicals.
Clarins has a good product line with an affordable price range, compared to Elemis. Also, they have a lot of products to choose from including serums, anti-aging products, creams and a lot more.
Moreover, they are a family-run brand, which means they’ll be more receptive to feedback and quick to improve. And that is unlike other brands that are run by big corporations.
According to one user, Clarins products are good and can make skin radiate and look good.
Elemis is one of the big-name skincare brands in the UK. The company has been around since the ’90s and has been growing with lots of high-end products to its name.
It claims to be an independent brand for the British audience and can be obtained in several channels including retail distributions and professional spas.
Unlike Clarins, it’s a premium beauty brand. So, it shouldn’t be surprising to find the price attached to their products is much higher than the regular price you’ll find on the market.
Elemis or Clarins: Product Reviews
Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed
This ingredient is full of fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidants. As you can see, you get to enjoy anti-aging, soothing, and moisturizing benefits from that.
According to the Clarins, the cleanser comes in a gentle formula that helps in stripping away impurities from the skin as well as expelling trapped makeup on the outermost surface.
This also means the product can expose dead cells without disrupting the skin’s natural moisture balance.
The cleanser is best suited to normal and combination skin. And similar to Elemis, it comes in a creamy texture and can be used in the morning or in the evening.
In terms of price, it’s cheaper than Elemis, so that you can go with it if you want a budget-friendly cleanser.
Elemis Pro Radiance Cleanser
While it’s expensive, a lot of people still buy it because it works great for others. Moreover, it comes in both balm and cream and doesn’t just clean. It can also be used for treating dull skin to a glowing one. It can also be used for dissolving make-up.
If you love creamy but smooth texture creams, you’ll like the cleanser. According to some users, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly.
Others state that it works for their dry sensitive skin even though it’s ideal for normal skin. The cream includes rose wax that softens the skin and soothes dry skin. It also provides a protective layer on the skin so it’s not infiltrated by daily pollutants.
Another ingredient is jojoba seed oil, which has anti-inflammatory properties. This means it can be used in treating skin chapping and chaffing as well as easing the effects of eczema.
Along with that, it comes with almond oil, oat kernel oil, and rosehip fruit oil.
The cream version contains moringa seed peptide, which has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. With that said, a dose of that provides deep cleansing and putting environmental dirt at bay.
The balm comes in a small, transparent container while the other version comes in a pump bottle which makes it easy to dispense.
In choosing a brand, the customer will find it useful, however, to try out a product for some time first to see if it would work for him or her before settling down to one brand or the other. What works for one person may not work for the other.
Finally, when choosing products, don’t be totally push off if you read about some products having chemicals in them.
Thes are just molecules, some of which our own skins are exposed to daily.
Many skincare/haircare products have chemicals in them. But not all chemicals are harmful. As long as a product doesn’t contain harmful substances, there is no problem using it.
I hope you’ll now be able to choose one when considering Elemis or Clarins.
