Is Mitchum Cruelty-Free and Vegan in 2022?

Sharing is caring!

No, Mitchum is NOT cruelty-free.

Mitchum is owned by Revlon. Revlon is American-based personal care, skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics brand that tests on animals.

As it is with most, if not all companies, the policies of the umbrella/parent company transfer to the brands under it.

Therefore, Mitchum, as a brand under Revlon, is classified as a non-cruelty-free brand. Just like Revlon.

Is Mitchum Deodorant Cruelty-Free

Most, if not all the deodorants from Mitchum are not cruelty-free. If you’re interested in vegan deodorants, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Mitchum Animal Testing Policy

There aren’t any animal testing policies for Mitchum.

Most companies have an Animal Testing Policy that states their stance on animal testing, their products, and the ingredients used.

In most cases, cruelty-free brands are the ones that normally have this policy set and you can easily find it on their website.

Brands like Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Natural By Nature, and a lot of others have this policy on their site.

Why this policy?

The policy isn’t anything special but most companies have them to show that they’re transparent and also to make it easy for consumers who want to check.

If you’re not sure if a company tests or not, you can check their site for this policy. If it’s on their site, you’ll quickly be able to see where the company stands.

Does Mitchum Test on Animals?

The company doesn’t test on animals directly. However, they finance animal testing.

How is that done? Some countries like China require by law any foreign company to test their products on animals before they can sell products in their country.

The company is then required to pay a certain amount of money to the government who carries out the test on its behalf.

As such, the company is financing the testing on animals and therefore labeled as a non-cruelty-free brand.

As you can see, there is no difference between testing and financing the test. Both are the same and should not confuse you.

Is Mitchum Vegan?

Is Mitchum Cruelty-Free
No. Mitchum isn’t vegan. However, it’s possible for some of their products to not have animal-derived ingredients or by-products.

Even with that, that doesn’t make it vegan. For a brand to be vegan, it has to be cruelty-free. Because Mitchum isn’t cruelty-free, it cannot be called vegan.

What Does Mitchum Produce?

Mitchum focuses mainly on deodorants. The company is a part of the Revlon Inc. company and has focused entirely on making perspirants and deodorants.

If you are looking for other products, you may have to check the parent company or other brands.

Where Can I Check Mitchum Deodorants

Amazon holds a sizeable amount of products from Mitchum if you’re interested.

There might be other places where you can get their product. However, if you’re shopping online, I’ve found Amazon to be the biggest repository of products from brands like Mitchum.

So, don’t hesitate to check them out.

If you’re only interested in cruelty-free brands, there are thousands of them out there and I’ll be releasing new updates on them. If you want to stay in the loop, make sure you subscribe to the blog.
