Has the Loreal Nail Polish been discontinued? Yes, the Loreal Nail Polish has been discontinued by the brand. So, that may mean it’s time for an alternative. 

L’Oreal Nail Polish Alternatives?

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a satisfactory alternative for the Loreal Nail Polish. It’s true there are thousands of nail polishes out there.

However, they are not all the same. Some are of very good quality but may be expensive.

Others are not very good so it doesn’t matter whether they are expensive or not.

A few of those who have used the Loreal Nail Polish not only find them to be of good quality but also comes at a reasonable price point.

That’s a nice combo on any product.

I also don’t know why L’Oreal decided to discontinue the product because it was such an excellent product loved by its users. 

So, why I would typically provide an alternative for such a discontinued product, I can’t find a good substitute in this case.

That doesn’t mean you can’t find one too. Just look around and you may just discover the perfect alternative.

How Do You Know When a Nail Polish is Discontinued?

And this doesn’t just apply to nail polishes. It can also be shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, and any skincare product.

Therefore, if you find any of your favorite products have been discontinued by the brand, the following may apply:

There are a lot of signs that can lead you to believe a skin care product is no longer in production. The first sign is usually scarcity but not always.

The other, and very common, is for the manufacturer to state that it has been discontinued.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t always happen as many brands don’t say when they are stopping a product.

They just stop it and you’ll only find out when the product becomes unavailable and you ask the brand.

Also, there are quite a few reasons a brand may decide to stop a product. It may be due to poor sales or to allow for a new product.

What to do then?

The best you can do is to look for alternatives. Usually, there will be an alternative product that can serve as a substitute for the discontinued one.

You can ask the manufacturer if it has a close substitute that you can switch to. However, if there is none, you can look further in the market for other brands.

There are some websites that are focused on just providing alternatives to discontinued products.

You can also look at eBay, which usually has discontinued products on sale (after the manufacturer has stopped making them) but they can be quite expensive.

Unfortunately, in the case of Loreal Nail Polish, I can’t find a suitable alternative. Emphases on the word “suitable”. You may be able to find something yourself.
