I love Olaplex Hair products! Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 Repairing Treatment is no exception. This treatment was my first experience with Olaplex when my hairdresser first used it on my hair.

Since I saw the results at the salon, I’ve been using this treatment about once a week for more than a year. I have fine, curly hair that easily frizzes.

While this is a treatment and not a conditioner, using the treatment will help with frizziness and knots.

It certainly seems to make my hair easier to style after use.

If you have damaged hair from just everyday life: pollution, hair color, using heat such as blow-drying or using irons, then you will see a noticeable difference in your hair just using the treatment once a week.

How to Use the Olaplex Hair Treatment

To use, I dampen my hair before adding the Olaplex No. 3 Treatment.

I leave it in my hair for about 10 minutes, then I shampoo and condition my hair. Afterward, my hair feels soft and looks sleek. It also adds a nice shine to my hair that I haven’t gotten with other hair products.

I enjoyed the results of the Olaplex No. 3 treatment so so much that I also started using the Olaplex Nos. 4 and 5, which are the shampoo and conditioner that I use with every wash.

After washing my hair, I add the Olaplex No. 6, which is a bond smoother. I use this every day to help with styling. I am all about spending minimal time on my hair in the mornings before work.

Final Words on Olaplex Treatment

Adding the Olaplex No. 3 Treatment to my hair routine every weekend feels like I am having a nice at-home spa day.

I have colored my hair faithfully for years. Using this treatment regularly has noticeably helped my hair. The shine and sleekness are something I’ve never really had before and I am enjoying the difference this treatment has made!

Niophlex doesn’t change the way you color your hair. It just blends in seamlessly.

Ingredients

Here are some of the ingredients in Niophlex:

Amino Acid: this is a hydrating agent with moisturizing properties. It replenishes the hair with moisture so it doesn’t dry out. It also enhances the hair and minimizes breakage.

Phytoceramide: this seals moisture by shielding the outermost layer of the hair.

Is it as good as Olaplex?

According to the American Board of Certified Hair colorists…most of the other plexes out there do not achieve the same results as Olaplex, even though they make the same claims.

In one test involving Colorphlex, mineral oil, B3 Brazilian bond builder, and Olaplex… It was found that all the products, except Olaplex, add temporary shine to hair.

They’re not able to create a high degree of interlinking between broken bonds. After a few iterations, only Olaplex had a significant and superior linkage of bonds as well as shine and the overall appearance of the hair.

Niophlex vs Olaplex: Comparison

Olaplex is designed to reconnect/rebuild broken disulfide bonds within the hair. 

Niophlex, on the other hand, creates new bonds. And helps in minimizing damage to the hair during the coloring process. 

If your hair is already damaged, you should go with Olaplex in managing/treating the damage. You should use Niophlex if you want to add an extra layer of protection, in advance of the chemical process.
