Out of the two, the Olay is more moisturizing. So, if you have dry skin and want one that’ll help hydrate and keep your body soft, you may want to go with Olay.

Keep in mind that your skin may become too oily if you have oily skin from using Olay. Dove should be moderate in that aspect.

Sensitive Skin

I think Dove is more suitable for sensitive skin, compared to Olay. While Olay’s talking point is moisture, Dove’s specifically formulated for sensitive skin.

The Dove Beauty bar is fragrance-free and hypo-allergenic. Olay, on the other hand, contains fragrance. If you’re easily irritated by fragrance, then you may want to avoid Olay.

If you’re like me and you like the fragrance to stay with you after taking your bath, then Olay is more suitable.

Price

While more expensive than regular soaps, these beauty bars are no more expensive than your regular skincare cream. You can also pick them up from your local store or various online merchant.

Skin Type

This is another important factor to consider when choosing. Choosing the wrong soap for your skin may lead to unwanted skin conditions.

If you have sensitive skin, the Dove Beauty Bar is specially formulated for such skin. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, go with Olay as it’s the most suitable for that.

Bar soap is something you’ll be using daily, so you need to choose carefully. It doesn’t hurt to spend a little more time finding out about the brands you want to choose from.

First, always, always go for skin-friendly soaps. There are loads of bad soaps out there that’ll hurt your skin.

Verdict

Regular soaps are good to use. But when you use the wrong one, it might leave your skin rough and dry. A beauty bar, on the other hand, will not just cleanse your skin of dirt. It’ll also moisturize it, leaving it feeling fresh, smooth, and clean.

Dove and Olay have a lot of products. However, we can’t buy all of them. So, I’m going to focus on their body wash in this article.

The rest of the article will compare body wash from both brands in a simplified way so you can quickly go with one.

Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash

The most benefit is that it’ll tone the skin but can also condition and soothe it. So, if you’re looking for a skin relaxer, you may want to consider this too.

It’s also creamy, which enables it to stay longer on the skin. Because of the mesh of multiple ingredients in the formula, the body wash can purify, rejuvenate, and nourish the skin.

According to the manufacturer, it can penetrate the skin for nourishment as well as moisturization. And it isn’t too expensive so a lot of people can buy and benefit from one.

I also like that it’s similar to Dove in that you can purchase for individual use or for your household. The downside I see to this is that it’s not cruelty-free and is scented, unlike Dove which is free from both.

Dove vs Olay: Effectiveness of the Body Washes

The Olay Ultra Moisture Moisturizing Body Wash provides its customers with a big jar of moisturizers that can last for a lot of shower sessions. It also has been known to relieve dry skin after using it for about 5 days.

You will be able to notice that your skin will be a lot smoother and this is due to the long-lasting hydration effects from the Olay Sensitive Body Wash.

On the other hand, the Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash can relieve dry skin with its Nutrium Moisture formula and it also helps to effectively store the natural nourishment that contains in the body was in your skin.

Dove vs Olay: Possible Side Effects

Apart from the smoothing and hydrating effects of Dove and Olay, there are absolutely no bad side effects after using both of these two products.

Final Verdict

After using the body wash of both Olay and Dove for more than 3 weeks, I find that it’s safe for me to say that both Olay and Dove provide a high amount of nourishment for the skin.

They relieve dry skin by hydrating it when I needed it the most, as well as cleaning my skin from any impurities.

Apart from that, the body wash by Olay and Dove also helps my skin to have a pleasant scent so I won’t have any problem if I forgot to put on my perfume on an important day.

In a nutshell, the body wash from both brands is good and I find that it’s just a matter of personal preference that some may choose one brand over the other.
