Sharing is caring!

A lot of people have been searching for a good review on Oribe vs Kerastase. But there haven’t been a lot of reviews on both brands in terms of how their products compare.

While you won’t find everything in a single post, you can learn a lot by reading a side-by-side comparison of the product from these brands, even if it’s one.

And that’s exactly what this article aims to do. Instead of going over all their products and confusing you, I’m going to take one product from both brands and compare them. This will be their shampoo.

Both shampoos will have similar features but I’ll try to draw out the differences. This should help you decide on the one that might be suitable for you.

Before comparing them, I’ll like to offer you a few tips on how to make the best purchase. When you choose the right product, you get so much value from what you spend even if it’s only a couple of dollars.

So, let’s look at that.

Oribe vs Kerastase – How to Choose

There is something you need to understand when it comes to choosing between two brands. It’s the fact that results often vary.

You’ll definitely see people that’ll tell you they love Oribe but cannot stand Kerastase. The same applies to Kerastase too.

What this means is that you shouldn’t rely completely on the information you read about which of them is better than the other.

There are many reasons, the obvious one being that people have different skin types and situations in which they use the products are different.

So, what should you do?

Take the information and evaluate it. Then compare it to what you can find on the specific product that you want to buy. Let’s say you want to get a shampoo and you are finding it difficult choosing between Oribe and Kerastase.

The truth is that there are going to be reviewed on both products. What you want to do is look for people who have used both products. This way, you’re able to get a clean look at what each product can do for you.

After considering that, look at the price, results, and the ingredients of the products. Now, choose the one that you have a strong belief that’ll work best for you.

That’s a primer for you if you want to ensure you choose the right product for yourself.

Oribe vs Kerastase – Brand Review

Oribe vs Kerastase

If you’re looking for good hair products, you have to trail the best brands. Kerastase and Oribe are top of the line and are highly regarded.

That’s why it’s difficult to say one is better than the other. Blanket statements like that often lead to many making the wrong decision.

But no matter how brands may be similar, there are bound to be complexities and dichotomy between them. It’s here that one shines over the other and where your deciding on one becomes easier.

About Kerastase

In the case of Kerastase, they’ve been around for a long time.

They’ve perfected the art of making quality hair products and have racked up a lot of experience and expertise doing just that. Many people love them because the company seems to have science at the back of what they do.

One thing that’s unique about them is that they’ve been consistent right from time. If you’re using their shampoo, they can keep your hair in a good state.

They might not be as popular as other brands like Olay, L’Oreal, Head and Shoulders, and the likes. But they make pretty products that get results.

About Oribe

Oribe is one of the luxury hair brands on the market. The brand was founded by Daniel Kaner and Tev Finger with the purpose of serving the professional section of the market.

In fact, they’re among the first to bring premium hair-care products to the market. While they’re known as a luxury brand, one thing that most people associate with the brand is their sleek, fancy, eye-popping bottles.

Yes, we aren’t going to eat or use the bottle. But that’s part of luxury and what is a luxury other than ELEGANCE and comfort.

I believe this is enough about both brands. We should compare their products now, shall we?

Oribe vs Kerastase Shampoo – Product Reviews

Reviewing:  Oribe Shampoo for Magnificent Volume vs Kerastase Bain Volumifique Thickening Shampoo

Let’s start with some preliminary stuff. Both lines are designed for adding volume and body to your hair. They’re both expensive. And they’re so different. Let’s look at the last sentence in detail.

Design

Oribe vs Kerastase
Oribe Shampoo comes in a sleek, glossy, shining, gleaming, elegant bottle. This doesn’t affect the product but you’ll love it at first sight.

That’s what I call ‘a magnificent shampoo bottle’. If the bottle is like that, do you not wonder how the liquid inside will be?

The Kerastase, on the other hand, comes in a generic, ordinary, I’ve-seen-it-before kind of bottle. The bottle is of a light green color with a fading label.

Overall, the bottle doesn’t look like a premium holder for an expensive shampoo. But I’ll get to that in a moment.

Price

Oribe vs Kerastase
The price of both lines is similar. Granted, they are both very expensive. Any of them will see you spending close to half-hundred dollars.

If you don’t have the budget for that, you’ll do better to go for other brands. Fortunately for you, I’ve reviewed plenty of them on the site. Just go to our comparison tab and feast your eye on them.

Bottle

Oribe vs Kerastase
I’ve talked about the design of the bottle above. What I didn’t mention is what they are. The Oribe bottle is brown and the size is 8.5 fluid oz.

The Oribe logo is conspicuously placed below the cover and you can read the label from afar. It’s truly a magnificent product.

The Kerastase, on the other hand, isn’t very attractive. The label on the bottle is faint and almost invisible until you draw it close. The logo is prominent though.

What they do

The Oribe shampoo is sulfate-free, lightweight, and eliminates breakage. The liquid in the magnificent bottle promises to make your hair full, lush, and strong once you start using it.

According to the manufacturer, you can also use shampoo if you want to enjoy some UV protection for your hair.

It doesn’t have some of the other loathed ingredients like sodium chloride (salt) and parabens and it’s safe for both color and keratin treatment.

The Kerastase shampoo, on the other hand, promises to clean your hair and fuse your hair fiber so it becomes stronger and thicker. The formula contains contouring polymers too, which is said to add body to the hair fiber.

You can also enjoy internal hair strength after using it, thanks to the vita-ciment.

Customer Reviews

I’ll say both products have impressive customer reviews. So, there is a tie here. There are already hundreds (and probably thousands) of reviews and I can’t but find the most positive. As long as you’re buying the original product and not the fake.

Oribe vs Kerastase – Final Thoughts

To ensure you choose the right shampoo, make sure you consider your hair type and your unique condition/situation.

While it’s okay to look at only the price or how effective the product is, knowing what you need and which product can serve you better is going to yield the best result for you.

The truth is that both brands are great and they have quality products. The shampoos compared in this article are have similar purposes but have some differences between them.

By considering these disparities, you should be able to see the one that might offer you the best results.

In some cases, choosing Oribe or Kerastase might yield similar results.

But because results sometimes depend on an individual’s hair, you may need to choose carefully so you don’t waste money or go through the stress of sending the product back.
