So, here we are, Pantene vs Garnier? Which one is better for you? Both have branded, high-quality hair products, so which one to choose?
A quick description of each would be that Pantene is a brand that is targeted towards people who want to pay more.
Pantene has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in some of their products.. and how can this be bad for you?
Well, this particular chemical is used in killing bugs and is known for causing liver damage, eye problems, and cancer.
Garnier is more of a herbal brand for people looking for natural skincare products.
I like Garnier because their products are not overly expensive and it fits people who don’t want any chemical in their products.
Pantene vs Garnier: Product Reviews
Pantene Hair Conditioners
First, we have Pantene’s Repair and Protect Conditioner. It is sulfate-free, besides, it prevents breakage and makes your hair softer and smoother.
Clients’ reviews about this product in a nutshell: Makes your hair very soft and leaves it conditioned, despite making it a little bit sticky for some clients and leaving a build-up.
Garnier Hair Conditioner
The Garnier conditioner is advertised for dry or damaged hair and the product actually does a good job.
If you have damaged or dry hair, you should try it as some of the reviewers of the conditioner reports that it does a good job.
One downside is that it has a strong scent to it. So it might be overpowering for someone who is sensitive to fragrances.
Fortunately, it fades quickly too so you might not notice it after you step out of the shower.
Pantene Hair Growth Products
Pantene’s Pro V Beautiful Lengths Shampoo is said to promote faster hair growth, and according to a lot of reviews, it really does.
It prevents your hair from breakage and damage allowing it to grow faster than your normal hair growth rate.
It also provides your scalp with nourishing elements that help encourage healthier hair, thus, again, faster hair growth.
Garnier Hair Growth Products
Garnier, like Pantene, has a few shampoos that you can invest in. One of their product is the Garnier Fructis Shampoo, which has received mixed reviews from users.
On the bright side, the majority of reviews are positive with a lot of people seeing results with the use.
It has a varying level of success though, so the ultimate result depends on your hair and your own condition.
Why Panten vs Garnier?
As there is a lot of shampoo types (anti-dandruff, fortifying, for a bigger hair volume, color care shampoo, etc), we can easily lose ourselves.
The easiest way to pick up the right one is to test it, as I did. Then you’ll see which one gives better hair results. Is it scratchy, soft, with dandruff, shiny, is it healthy or not?
Here are my experiences. I used to have a lot of problems with dandruff, and I started to use Garnier Fructis anti-dandruff shampoo.
In the beginning, it helped me a lot, but as the time was passing by, I’ve noticed that dandruff returns very quickly, sometimes immediately after washing my hair.
So, after months of using this shampoo, I decided to change it, because it lost its anti-dandruff effect on my hair.
Pantene vs Garnier: Which Is Best for YOU?
Which one to choose now? Very difficult question, among the tons of hair care products. Watching all those TV commercials, I decided to try Pantene anti-dandruff.
After the very first wash, my hair was so soft, that I immediately fell in love with Pantene.
Now it would be two years that I constantly use this hair product without any side effects.
I have to tell that I’ve also tried the other Pantene shampoos (for a bigger volume and color hair shampoo), and I am so satisfied with all of them, that I think I will never change this brand.
And the most important thing is that I don’t need any conditioner, because my hair is so beautiful, soft and finally without dandruff.
Pantene vs Garnier: Product Effectiveness
Let’s compare the shampoo line from both brands and how effective they can be.
So, if we are talking about their effectiveness and their side effects, as well, I could tell you next: Garnier is the type of shampoo for short time use and Pantene for a long term use.
The answer is simple: the first one has removed my dandruff immediately after the first wash, but as I continued to use it, dandruff kept returning back, over and over.
And I had to use the conditioner for softer hair.
But, with the other one, I’ve resolved my dandruff problem permanently. And the most important thing is that I don’t have to buy conditioners anymore. So, none side effects here with Pantene!
If you ask me which one I would recommend to my friends, I would always answer: Pantene! But, which one you’ll choose, it’s up to you!
