This is one of the questions asked by a reader:

I just went to get my hair bleached to have white-blonde hair. It’s the second time I do it. The first time was a few months ago, and it was ok.

But this time, it really hurt, and now I have little (and not so little) bruises, like burns, in my scalp. Is it a reaction to the chemicals? What can I do? Anything to help it heal? Thanks

  1. the bleaching chemical that was used this time seems like it was too strong.take hair conditioner like sauve or vo5 put it on your hair make sure that your scalp gets covered in it.leave on for about 10 or 15 minutes takes the burn effect out, plus cools the scalp.don’t bleach for awhile just keep conditioning your scalp.cause too much bleaching drys the hair out, thats why i recomend that you just condition for now.crush up ice really fine and place where the bruises are or just lay it on your head put a scarf over it.or you can freeze a spoon and place it on your brusies.hope this helps good luck.

  2. “DONT BLAME THE HAIRSTYLIST”

    HEY CLIENTS OF HAIR SALONS!!!

HEY LALA FROM SPAIN…IF YOU TELL YOUR STYLIST ..THAT YOU WANT BLOND HAIR, LIKE PLATINUM WHITE…AND YOUR HAIR IS DARK…THE STYLIST HAVE TO BLEACH IT..BUT SOME TIME YOUR HAIR PULL TO MUCH ORANGE COLOR AND “WE” HAVE TO INCREASE THE LEVEL OF PEROXIDE!
REMEMBER THAT BLACK IS “1N” MEANS NATURAL SHADE OF BLACK,OR “2N”MEANS DARKEST BROWN…AND YOU WANNA GO “10n OR 12N” THAT MEAN REALLY LIGHT WHITE BLONDE. WELL OF COURSE “WE” HAVE TO USE BLEACH TO PLEASE” THE CLIENT!
TIP#1 “DO NOT WASH YOR HAIR FOR AT LEAST 3 DAYS OR MORE,BEFORE YOU GO TO SEE YOUR STYLIST,TO KEEP ALL THAT OILS AND DIRT IN YOUR SCALP TO PROTECTED FROM THE “ON SCALP” BLEACH.!
TIP# 2 BY ALL MEANS “DO NOT SCRACTH YOUR SCALP BEFORE OR AFTER THE BLEACH,IF GET ITCHY WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS PRESS WHERE ITCH AND RUB GENTLE!
TIP #3 IF YOUR STYLIST WANT TO WASH YOUR HAIR BEFORE THE BLEACHING “FIRED HIM OR HER” THEY ARE DONKEYS WITH NOT KNOWLAGE ABOUT COLORING!
FOR THE PEOPLE THAT SUGGESTED TO LEAVE AND FIND NEW HAIRSTYLIST..DONT DO THAT..”WE”HAVE TO LEARN ABOUT EACHOTHER WAYS OF WORKING TOGUETHER WE LEARN EVENTUALLLY WITH TIME HOW OUR CUSTOMER LIKE THE HAIR!!
    TAKE CARE EVERYONE!!

  3. ive got this going on to, on the top of my head this annoying dull painful blister.
now im all paranoid because ive been roaming the internet for answers.

    not pleased at all…

  4. I have been getting scalp bleeching for around 7 years. And I know i have a sensitive scalp. I do not wash my hair for 3 days before i get it done and only leave it 6-7 weeks at the most as the longer i leave it the worse the pain is when getting the bleeching. I have just had it done again today and this time my scalp is really red and got blisters (first time) You can put full fat milk on the blisters – this has always been recommended by a few hairdressers and beauty therapists I know. It seems to work and cools the area and sooths the blisters.
