We cannot talk about facial care without the mention of cleansers and moisturizers.

Although in recent times, the skincare market has been overwhelmingly flooded with numerous products that people tend to forget the old and reliable lotion/moisturizer.

However, it remains the basic and foundation of any skincare regime.

With the influx of various brands (along with the old ones, of course), it could sometimes be confusing to decide the best fit for your skin.

Of course, there are a lot of great products out there, but in this article, we will discuss two of the top-rated brands, Spectro and Cetaphil, and their products.

If you’re unsure which one to go with, this guide is for you. Keep reading!

Spectro Jel Cleanser Fragrance

This face cleanser is specifically designed for those with blemish or acne-prone skin. The gel is a gentle cleanser that helps cleanse the face of oil and impurities that accumulates on the skin.

This helps promote a cleansed and purified skin surface, which reduces the imperfections on the skin.

Not only that, but the gel cleanser will also protect the skin from harmful bacteria, leaving the face clear, soft, and one that’s free from acne and infections.

Fortunately, the list of ingredients in the product is few, which means that there is not going to be a whole lot of irritants especially if you have sensitive skin.

This doesn’t mean that it’s going to irritate your skin. Or trigger skin allergy. However, it’s good to know some of these things before buying.

One other great thing about the product is that a lot of users are happy it helps them completely eliminate POD (perioral dermatitis).

So, if you’re a sufferer, you may want to try out the Spectro Jel Cleanser. And it’s not that expensive, compared to the many other alternatives out there.

In fact, it’s cheaper than the Cetaphil Cleanser, even if that’s by a small margin.

If I don’t recommend it for anything, I’ll say that anyone who’s suffering from dermatitis should try it out due to a large number of users seeing good results with that.

Ingredients

Like many other cleansers, it contains glycerin (reduces skin irritation and increases hydration), dimethicone (which helps promote healthy skin by minimizing the spread of bacteria), and butylene glycol (a conditioning agent that adds an extra layer of softness to the skin for improved skin texture).

The last ingredient can cause skin irritation as it’s a chemical. It also contains alcohol, which is known to sting, burn, or irritate the skin. Personally, I don’t like to use products that contain alcohol. I think the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

The Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer is a cleanser for removing excess oil on the face as well as dirt and polution from the environment. The formula gentle enough for daily use.

It is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which means that it is less likely to cause allergic reactions and also wouldn’t clog pores in your skin. Instead, it’ll preserve and strengthen your skin barrier while also minimizing the apperance of pores.

The cleanser is enriched with glycerin and niacinamide.

Glycerin is a humectant, which helps draw moisture from the air and the deeper layer of your skin to outer layer of your skin, leaving a skin that’s fresh, supple, and soft.

The niacinamide content will help the cleanser promote skin elasticity, reduce redness and hydrate the skin. The formula also contains panthenol, which is known to hydrate the skin, just like the glycerin.

To ensure it has as little side effects as possible, the formula is free from parabens, sulfates, oil, and aluminium. However, it’s scented, which means that it has fragrance.

If you’re sensitive to fragrance, then this product may not be suitable for you. This cleanser is available on Amazon, Poshmark, eBay, Walmart, Target, and Ulta. You can also check the official website for availability of the cleanser.
