• Effectiveness — Lancome eye cream, for example, under-deliver and are a bit overpriced. The creams, however, do show results. This is mostly due to synthetic ingredients added to help produce short-term healthy-looking skin rather than truly nourishing it.
• Not A Cruelty-Free Brand — Unfortunately, this high-end brand is not a cruelty-free company. They have tested their products in China, which requires any foreign cosmetic brands to test their products on animals before approving the brand to enter the Chinese market.

MAC Studio Fix

This is a slightly different makeup to the Double Wear. Unlike the Lancome Teinte Idole Foundation, it only has a 12-hour wear-out duration. This means you’ll need to retouch after 12 hours, compared to full day wear on the Double Wear.

Both products are similar in terms of where they can be used. The MAC Studio Fix can be used on all types of skins. However, it might be better used on oily skin. So, if you have oily skin, you may get better results.

The advantage the MAC has over Lancome is in the price department. It’s cheaper but very! So you might only be able to save a few cents or dollars if you decide to choose based on price.

For what it’s worth, hundreds of people have tried it out with many coming back with positive reviews. I would there say that it’s a cheap alternative to Lancome Teint Idole Foundation if you can’t afford that.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Makeup Foundation

The Lancôme Teint Idole is a good quality foundation but an expensive one when compared with the MAC Studio Foundation.

It’s a suitable option if you don’t mind paying a premium your next foundation. It should be noted that the foundation is expensive but can make up for it in a nice, smooth looking skin surface.

This is probably why a lot of people prefer it over others. When applied, the Teint Idole leaves a smooth, glossy coat and is suitable for sensitive skin since it doesn’t dry it out.

Many users love the Lancôme for not wearing out throughout the day while also doing well on oily skin.

In addition, if you’re looking for that foundation that’s free from fragrance, oil, and well suited to sensitive skin, then the Teint Idole is your best choice. It’s non-comedogenic and transfer-free. The only downside is that it’s only available in one color.

If you like to change color to match your new style or dress, you may want to consider the MAC Studio Fix Foundation. It’s available in a variety of colors.

Finally, both are worth the money, especially if you’re able to achieve exactly what you’re buying them for.

The MAC Foundation is better suitable for those looking to choose from a wide array of shades while the Lancome is a better foundation for all skin types.

MAC is also a lot cheaper so if you’re buying on a small budget, you may want to opt for it in place of Lancome.

Lancôme vs Mac: Possible Drawbacks

Mac

For some users, MAC studio fix has caused them to break out and give them skin irritations. The foundation has some toxic chemicals that may react with sensitive skin.

Even if your skin is not fragile, poisonous chemicals may enter your body. MAC foundation has a “moderate hazard” rating on the Cosmetic Database. MAC lip-gloss has caused some consumers to burn and peel on the lips.

Lancome

As you may have seen from the above, the Lancome Teint Idole Foundation is a good option for those who are looking for high-quality. And can also pay the premium price. If your budget is small, I’ll recommend you check out MAC because it’s lot cheaper.

You may also not have as much shade (in terms of variety) in the Lancome compared to the MAC. Again, you may want to consider MAC if you want this option to be available.
